Secretary of Defense Warns: Bad War Press Hurts Obama’s Reelection Effort
Sometimes, a headline is published that just makes the reader go “DUH!” Something so blatantly obvious you just have to wonder how long the rocket scientist who wrote took to figure out a simple and obvious truth.
Such is the case in a recent Stars & Stripes headline, Panetta to Warn That Bad Press Hurts War Effort.
Those of us who served in Vietnam, recalling how our service and effort over there was distorted, misreported, blown out of proportion and sometimes outright fabricated can look at such a headline and say, “ya think?”
Since the attacks of September 11, 2001 and the launch of the War on Terror in both Afghanistan and Iraq, we have repeatedly witnessed the lamestream media once again picking and choosing how they report our Troops efforts and service.
After the 9/11 Terrorist attacks, we invaded Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 to deny Al Qaeda a safe haven and seek capture of Osama bin Laden. October 30, 2001 saw the New York Times run A Military Quagmire Remembered: Afghanistan as Vietnam, already distorting our Troops actions.
Quagmire became a familiar description applied both to Iraq and Afghanistan while Democrats in the House and Senate joined in labeling the war “lost,”, a “quagmire,” “mismanaged” and even to the point of identifying our Troops as “cold blooded murderers,” as did now deceased Pennsylvania Democrat Representative Jack Murtha in 2006.

There Is No Republican “War on Women,” But there is a “War on Republicans”
“The Republican War on Women is real, and it’s extremely dangerous. House Republicans are pursuing the most comprehensive and radical assault on women’s health and reproductive freedom in our lifetime,” said DCCC Political Director, Kelly Ward in an April 13, 2012 email.
Democrat Representative for Massachusetts Barney Frank, in a March 31, 2012 email said, “Enough already. Once again, Republicans have voted to destroy Medicare while slashing taxes for Big Oil and Billionaires.”
Vitriolic Democrat strategist James Carville sent out an email blast March 30, 2012 stating, “What’d you do yesterday? Between breakfast and dinner, Republicans in Congress voted to give Big Oil more tax breaks, cut seniors off from their Medicare, and give millionaires even more tax cuts. It’s enough to give you heartburn.”
Former President, B.J. Clinton on March 30, 2012 claimed, “[Republicans would] rather divide America than lead it. Just look at what’s happening now — are we really supposed to believe that women’s rights are getting in the way of job creation?” Uh, yeah Bill, tell that to Monica.
Former Democrat Secretary of State and Ambassador to the U.N. Madeleine Albright claimed in an email dated March 27, 2012, “Here in America, Republicans have launched an all out attack on women’s rights. They’ve targeted women’s health care and are trying to roll back basic rights that most of us thought were won more than a generation ago.”
March 24, 2012 saw an email from Nevada’s Democrat Senator Harry Reid spewing, “Let me be blunt: The only reason Republicans haven’t passed their radical anti-woman, anti-worker agenda – the only reason we’re able to get anything done for the middle class – is that there are more of us than there are of them.”

Democrats May as Well Hang a Neon Sign Over Commissioner Boldt’s Head
Any doubts about the left leaning bias of the Columbian are forever shattered with their orchestrated outrage and coverage given to the in house sanction placed on Clark County, Washington County Commissioner, Marc Boldt. One would have to be so far left they are blinded to reality to not see it.
Since their “breaking news” of the sanctions, put in place in November 2011 nearly 4 months after the fact, we have now seen 4 articles covering the sanction within as many days, 2 yesterday alone. Three achieved front page coverage in the published editions of the paper, Friday March 23, Wednesday March 28 and Thursday March 29.
In comparison, when Democrat Jim Jacks abruptly walked out on constituents in the 49th legislative district one year ago, the Columbian addressed that 5 times, but over a 30 day period without the in depth coverage we see given Boldt. The claim of having no “paper trail” was the given excuse for such slim coverage. We have yet to see any coverage of the well founded rumors associated with inappropriate behavior towards staffer, particularly of the opposite sex in regards to his abrupt resignation.
In less than a week, we know more about what the Columbian claims is the reason for these sanctions placed on Boldt than we know about why Jim Jacks left constituents high & dry in spite of having one year to discover anything.

Attacking Limbaugh, Liberals Ignore Years Of Their Own Misogyny

Time and again, the sheer hypocrisy and double standards practiced by Liberal Democrats glares out at America, and goes largely ignored, especially by our very own liberally biased lamestream media.
No better example can exist than their cries of a “Misogynistic Right” and their actions of being “holier than thou” in condemnations of Rush Limbaugh or any other well known conservative they despise when they make a clear disparaging comment against a woman.
I won’t excuse Rush and agree that his use of the word “slut” was over the top and uncalled for. But, he did apologize on air.
That meant nothing to liberals who have for many years now wanted to silence the right, especially Rush Limbaugh.
March 6, 2012 saw an email blast from “Kristen at MomsRising.org,” a spin-off of far left leaning Moveon.org that begins, “That’s it. We need to rush Rush off the air,” and adds, “Rush’s misogynistic tirades are harmful. Our daughters see that when women speak up for women, they can be ridiculed, demeaned, and labeled ‘prostitutes.’ And what’s even more outrageous is that many of the commercial sponsors of Rush’s show are marketing directly to women.”
Just today, this same “Kristen” sent another email blast titled, “Tell Rush’s Corporate Sponsors to Use the Withdrawal Method.”

How Ironic Can Jeanne Harris Be?
Jeanne Harris, the embittering Vancouver, Washington city council member known internationally for her ‘gavel down’ outburst and subsequent efforts in wanting it forgotten, continues to amaze in how she can’t get passed it herself.
It’s well known she received a slap on the wrist for her outburst against fellow council member Jeanne E. Stewart, since city ethics policy did not address her overbearing treatment in ‘gaveling down’ citizens and she sort of apologized as she forgave the community for her outburst.
Since, she has ‘requested’ the famous video be taken down, apparently not realizing that once something is on the internet, it’s there forever. She has also come forward seeming to expect a public apology from others over her outburst and the subsequent ethics investigation that she only received the slap on the wrist for.
Her conduct and disdain for those who disagree with her reach legendary proportions as she has been noted to single out people in the audience, demanding they “stop shaking their heads at her,” and speak down to citizens as if she were a teacher speaking to a kindergarten class.

Liberals Should Be Madder At Debt Limit Increases Than Conservatives
Bottom line, Democrat or Republican, wrong is wrong and continually giving yourself permission to borrow more, never paying the debt down, is wrong. We taxpayers, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Anarchists, Minarchists, even those who don’t give a hoot about politics are on the hook for Trillions of dollars in debt.
It has to stop and yes, it’s not going to be pretty, but we have to begin actually getting out from under this ever increasing debt.
All of the money going out in interest payments should be going into the country’s infrastructure, Veterans Benefits, necessary entitlement programs and yes, we may disagree on just which ones are really necessary. But, paying all of that interest to foreign investors, nations or even domestic investors amounts to nothing more than fattening the coffers of those wealthy who own our debt at the expense of struggling taxpayers.
The left continually condemns the wealthy, calls on them to “share in the sacrifice” and “pay their fair share,” yet the left also approves of giving them even more of our tax dollars in the form of interest payments on the debt by supporting yet another increase to the debt limit?
It doesn’t make sense that the left isn’t demanding even louder than we are for this madness to stop.

Pompous Bloated Rich Guy Complaining About Other Rich Guys Having Money
Leave up to Michael Moore, who has amassed more wealth that the vast majority of citizens could ever imagine, to sit down and complain about other wealthy people having money.
“They’re sitting on the money, they’re using it for their own — they’re putting it someplace else with no interest in helping you with your life, with that money. We’ve allowed them to take that. That’s not theirs, that’s a national resource, that’s ours. We all have this — we all benefit from this or we all suffer as a result of not having it,” Michael Moore told Laura Flanders of GRITtv.
“I think we need to go back to taxing these people at the proper rates. They need to — we need to see these jobs as something we some, that we collectively own as Americans and you can’t just steal our jobs and take them someplace else,” Moore concluded.

Liberals Booted Out Of Hunter Safety Class
Thirteen-year-old Lane Dunkley, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was looking forward to going hunting with his grandfather. To get an Oklahoma hunting license, he first had to attend a Hunter Safety Course.
After bringing his grade average up to meet his father’s standards, He and his father traveled to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for such a class.
At the beginning of the class, the volunteer instructor asked if any had voted for Barack Obama. Lane’s father raised his hand, the instructor railed on about Obama and asked the father son duo to leave, threatening to cancel the course if they did not.
While I am no fan of Obama, gun safety training is no place for such partisanship rhetoric. This instructor missed a golden opportunity to show liberals how serious conservatives are about gun safety and to let them see we are not the crazed Bible Thumpers we are often portrayed as.
Rightfully so, the instructor lost is position swiftly, a decision I support.

There is a time and place for all of our partisanship and Obama’s performance is a fair target, like others before him.
Taking it out on a 13 year-old is just wrong, as is including such partisanship in a gun safety course.

Go To Hell, Val Kilmer
Yes, Val Kilmer, veteran actor apparently with a size 54-hat size, over impressed with himself after being in the movies “Tombstone,” “Top Gun” and “Batman Forever,” can kiss this Viet Nam Veteran’s rosy red ass!
I apologize for my profanity to you readers, but not to Kilmer. Sometimes profanity is appropriate and in this regard to Val Kilmer, it is one. He is a punk-assed, pampered, spoiled rotten slime ball.
I am sure many may be dismayed by my expressions against this asshat, after so many have enjoyed his performances in the make believe movies he appears in, but read on and I’ll explain why I say this and why I’ll never pay to go see another movie with this jerk in it.
The New Mexico Independent ran a story late last month on the likelihood of Kilmer running for the office of governor of New Mexico in 2010.
Although Kilmer was born and raised in California the Independent refers to him as “One of New Mexico’s most famous residents.” Fair enough as I assume he has taken up residence in the state of his paternal grandfather.
Kilmer has dropped strong hints that Governor Bill Richardson endorses him in the run, should he make it.
The Independent links to an interview of Kilmer by Chuck Klosterman for Esquire, published in July 2005.
This exchange ought to rile any honest hearted American, especially my fellow Viet Nam Veterans. You just have to read it for yourself.

Val Kilmer, this 60 year old gray haired Viet Nam Vet, who came from a middle class background, graduated High School, never been arrested or come close to committing a crime, enlisted in the United States Army. I also voluntarily extended my tour and have never regretted serving my country, unlike you punk ass pansy liberal millionaires who think a role in fantasy land makes you more aware of the sacrifices Veterans have made since our country was founded than we are.
The worst part of Viet Nam was coming back to “the World” and meeting shitheads like Val Kilmer, who fell for every lie told by John ‘F’in Kerry, Ramsey Clark, Hanoi Jane Fonda and all the other Communist lackey’s parading through the streets and bad mouthing my country.
It’s assholes like Kilmer who perpetuate the myth of the Deranged Viet Nam Veteran readily exposed in the book Stolen Valor and by many others, including Medal of Honor recipient Col. George “Bud” Day and yours truly.
What has Kilmer ever done for America besides rake in millions of dollars acting as if he were a brave soul, not standing up for our country?
Kabuki Village blog site expresses similar outrage towards Kilmer in an open letter.
Naturally, Kilmer issued a denial of ever saying any such thing here.
