As was acknowledged by the Columbian, concerning Washington State Governor Jay Inslee’s sneaking into town to hold what can only be described as a Cheerleading Session promoting the CRC, encouraging the hand-picked supporters to “raise the decibels,” meaning to squash struggling middle class taxpayers unwilling to send even more of their dwindling tax dollars to Olympia, Senator Don Benton, (R. 17th) held his own impromptu presser right after Inslee’s.

Once again, efforts to let voters voice their opinion in support of or opposition to forcing Clark County to accept Portland, Oregon’s financially troubled light rail seems to have fallen by the wayside as the Downtown light rail Mafia, better known as elected and appointed officials determined to force citizens to accept the boondoggle against their will have ruled yet another citizen petition calling for a vote as “invalid.”
And it cannot be ignored just how fishy this latest effort is.
Ever since Portland, Oregon decided to build a light rail system throughout their city, efforts have been underway to extend it across the Columbia River into Washington State in Clark County. That voters defeated the effort in 1995 by 2 to 1 margin did not matter as our vote was apparently immediately thrown into the trash can as rulers in both Portland and Vancouver, Washington have continued to plot, scheme and dream of ways to circumvent state law to bypass voters every chance they got.
As if we really needed a poll to tell us, recently the Columbian ran an article telling us that most of us would divert to I-205 to cross the Columbia and avoid the tolls planned to soon be in place.
As with most polls, demographics and question wording means a lot when interpreting the results, something the Columbian is quick to bring up now.

Once again, voters in Clark County have spoken on dragging Portland, Oregon’s financially failing light rail into our community by defeating the latest C-Tran Proposition 1 for raising the sales tax to cover the cost of operations & maintenance of the light rail line. Just as before, voters resoundingly rejected it by nearly 20,000 votes.
In spite of claims otherwise by proponents, the vote was well known among voters to be a proxy vote on light rail itself since all promises previously made of letting voters vote on whether or not we even want Portland’s folly have been denied by elected rulers.
One of the first was Vancouver’s Mayor, ‘Teflon’ Tim Leavitt, known for lying through his teeth to win office as upon seeing the results of the election indicated the “result only confirms that voters do not support raising sales tax to pay for light rail.”
In continuing what I previously posted in Malfeasance of the Jurassic Media on Yet Another Tragedy, concerning the media’s rapid effort to report news and how they often get it wrong, news comes now of how ABC (Always Blame Conservatives) News network seems to have got it wrong on something else in their reporting on the tragic shooting this past week in Aurora, Colorado.
I’m sure you all recall the earlier ABC News report quoting the suspects Mother as saying, “You Have the Right Person.”
I know I am not the only one whose eyebrow was raised over such a quote. How could a person some 1100 miles away, woken up at 5 am and told her son was arrested for something she had no knowledge of be able to so cavalierly state “You Have the Right Person?”
Tomorrow is the big day, the United States Supreme Court will announce their decision on the lawsuits filed by several states over Barack Obama’s signature legislation rammed through by a lame duck congress, Obamacare. Or, as Democrats prefer to falsely label it, the Affordable Care Act, the one former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi famously said we would have to pass in order to see what was in it.
No one knows yet which way the high court will decide on whether the federal government can force citizens into buying a product they may not desire.
The pollsters have been busy, though, polling Americans on what they want to see from the Court. According to the Houston Chronicle,
“Only 10% of Americans expect Supreme Court to uphold all of ObamaCare.”
“33 percent — say they expect the court to uphold portions of the law but strike down the requirement that Americans either buy insurance or pay a fine, the poll finds.”
“18 percent believe that the court will strike down the entire law and send Congress back to the drawing board.”
