Liberals are surely delighted, thinking they won and have forced her out of office, but they will surely be in for a surprise.
Palin Quits as Alaska Governor
After stunning the world and being subjected to a before unheard of vitriolic assault on her person and members of her family, Mrs. Palin announced today that she will step down as governor of Alaska at the end of July, handing the state over to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell.
Seeing how she energized the conservatives in the country, detractors set out on a course of mean-spirited vitriol to destroy the woman, politically if not personally.
In a telephone interview with Fox News, her brother stated that due to an excess of frivolous complaints against her and at great expense, she felt she could not devote the time necessary to properly govern Alaska.
15 ethics complaints have been dismissed, but enemies of Patriotic America will not cease their onslaught of a decent person.
This is the America you voted for, politics of personal destruction on steroids.
Liberals, don’t think for a minute you have won, you haven’t. You have only fired the first volley and we intend to fire back like you have never seen.
Mrs. Palin places her constituents above her goals and places her family’s interests first.
The phony you placed in the White House is ripping he country apart and faces scorn now too.
No more nice stuff!
Like General Yamamoto was credited with saying after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, you are awakening a sleeping giant, decent hard working Americans who believe in fairness and America, not the socialist hand-outs.
Mrs. Palin may be setting up for a run for President in 2012 and believe you me, she will be a formidable candidate if that is her intent.
Regardless of what RINO’s say, many in America love this lady and even some not so mean hearted liberals see the underhanded destruction wrought against this woman and her family, for no legitimate reason other than the left’s fear of her.
Rejoice if you please, liberals, but don’t be surprised to find her sitting in the White House come January 20, 2013.
America won’t forget your vitriol and as often happens, what goes around, comes around.

Lew, any possibility that she will sign on with radion/TV as a new conservative voice? She has an audience already and is probably more marketable as a media celebrity. It certainly would be more lucrative, financially, for her family.
In The Oregonain this morning, there was a letter by a National Review editor, Jonah Goldberg that offered her some interesting advice:

Jane, she hasn’t yet announced what she is going to do. Speculation has her setting up for a presidential run, but anything anybody says is pure speculation.
I read Jonah’s piece last evening and disagree with him mostly. She is still taking a lot of flak from the left. Just look at the hit piece from Vanity Fair this week.

I see her asa pretty savy lady who knows what she wants and how to achieve it. What we need do is get behind her, should she decide to run.
We have allowed the left for too long to define us and slander us and we try to keep being nice.
For me, it’s time to fight back and get back in their faces.
They put this lady and her family through pure hell and it hasn’t stopped. Coming from within the Republican party is especially uncalled for.
It’s sour grapes from McPain’s crowd.
But, let’s give her a little timie and see what she decides. Then we can go from there.
In theend, I think letteing her be herself is what draws people to her.

I fail to see how liberals would have any reason to rejoice.
Mrs. Palin is obviously a polarizing figure who is not attractive to moderate Republicans (your “RINO’s”) nor independents as a potiential leader.
I don’t think she would do well as a media personality which takes even a thicker skin. My guess is that she at heart is simply putting her and her family’s health and welfare first.

It is amazing to me that anyone would choose to run for office anymore, especially when there is a young family to protect. Sarah Palin, has, indeed (as you mention) taken nasty hits from Republicans as well as Democrats.
Trying to put myself in her shoes, it seems to me that she might be considering her great ability to assist the Republican party in other ways such as spreading the message through her own extraordinary media skills. Afterall, her family does not have unlimited funds like the Romneys or the Kennedys. Her book deal money will run out eventually.
Who is going to bankroll her political aspirations? She will need more than donations from her supporters.
If she cuts a deal with a major network, she can still choose to run at a later date. She is a hot media commodity and people love to watch and hear her right now. I still think it would be a good business decision for her that would provide her family with independent financial support. On the side, she can do what she needs to do to prepare for another election.
But my opinion is just that: an opinion. Sarah Palin does not need to take advice from me. She just strikes me as a woman who is very independent and would not like to be beholden to anyone else for her income.

Pat, I can understand your thoughts, being that you are a Democrat, but all you need do is look in at DemocraticUnderground or DailyKOS and you will see the glee I talk about.
While Mrs. Palin may be “polarizing” to a degree, as you say, she is also an “energizer” for many Americans that see her and her family as they are, real!
Her exact reasons are unknown at this time as is her future plans, if any. She is known for not following the normal political playbook, so we will see what unfolds in the weeks and months ahead.
Jane, Sarah is known for shaking up the established politicians, Democrat or Republican. We need more like her from both parties to rid ourselves of this vitriolic back and forth and politics of personal destruction, brought to us by the Clinton’s in their first run.
Attacks on her children, while Obama’s daughter and Chelsea were given a pass (which is how it should be for all) was just too over the top.
Letterman, Olberman and others should have been fired, as was Don Imus, not given the pass they received.
The left sees her as a strong threat or they would just ignore her. Same from Republicans like Romney who was rumored to have been behind much of the mean-spirited rumors about her during the campaign.
Romney may have money, but he would be another disaster for the country, as many of his policies in Massachussetts are proving to be.
If nothing else, I hope that Sarah Palin ignites the citizens of America to get back to what we are really about and stop all this childish nonsense and get backs in Congress today.
It’s time we became America again.
